Using Self-Tiling Behavior to Build a Movie Background Texture Hatching Preset

Today’s post continues yesterday’s theme of working with self tiling patterns. Today we will show how you can use a stack of self tiling patterns stored as individual frames in a movie file to build a set of hatching patterns, where each frame in the movie corresponds to a hatch pattern for a fixed luminance value. You can then use the Movie Pixel Index Background Texture to build a pixel accurate hatching paint effect from the movie file containing the self-tiling patterns.
