The Microsoft Edge Browser and Brave Browser
Studio Artist will not download properly using the Edge Browser or Brave Browser please switch to a different browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox before downloading Studio Artist.
The .EXE extension
*Some browsers will not put the .exe extension on the Studio Artist program file. If you are having trouble executing Studio Artist check to see if the program file has the .exe extension. If you you can just add the .exe to the Studio Artist program file and that should fix the problem. If you have any further trouble please read below or contact tech support by clicking on the support tab on the right bottom of any page the Synthetik.com site.
ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE:
Studio Artist is fully certified and registered with Microsoft but unfortunately some 3rd party software will still make it difficult to install.
You may have to temporarily disable your anti-virus software to complete the installation Studio Artist.

BitDefender – will allow the download but will crash Studio Artist.
You Will Need Quicktime for VIDEO PROCESSING ONLY
You DO NOT NEED QUICKTIME IF you will be using Studio Artist for Still Art or Photos.

If you want to do video processing with Studio Artist 5.0 you will need to install Quicktime.
We are working to eliminate Quicktime entirely from the Windows version of Studio Artist, but currently you will need Quicktime to do any video processing.
What potentially is not safe is downloading a Quicktime video from an unknown and/or untrusted website if you have the Quicktime plugin installed on your browser. To avoid this you can disable the Quicktime plugin in your browser. NOTE: Most current browser no longer have the Quicktime Plugin.
TO DISABLE QUICKTIME IN OLDER BROWSERS
If you have an older browser you can check to see if there is a Quicktime plugin.
CHROME: Navigate to Settings>Show advanced settings>Content settings>Disable individual plugins.
FIREFOX: Click the menu button, click Manage add-ons, and select the Plug-ins icon.
INTERNET EXPLORER: Click the gear menu on the toolbar and select Add-ons. Ensure the “Toolbars and extensions” category is selected, and then click the Show box and select All add-ons.
SAFARI: Click the Safari menu, select Preferences, and click the Security icon. Click the Website Settings button to the right of “Internet plug-ins.
OPERA: Click the Opera menu and select Settings. Select the Websites category and click “Disable individual plugins.” Alternately, you can just plug “opera://plugins” into the address bar (without quotes) and press Enter.
